Inside the World Cup with Marty Bauman
Bio: Marty Bauman was Public Relations Director for the United States Equestrian Team from 1990-2004. He was the U.S. Olympic Committee’s equestrian press officer at three Olympic Games and served as Chairman of the USOC’s Olympic Public Relations Association. Marty is executive director of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame and was press chief for the last seven FEI World Cup Finals held in the United States and for the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Lexington, KY. Marty’s company, Classic Communications, handles media operations for several of the nation’s most significant equestrian events including the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, Lake Placid Horse Shows, Hampton Classic, Pennsylvania National Horse Show, Fair Hill International and Alltech National Horse Show. A graduate of Northwestern University with a Masters in Public Relations from Boston University, Marty published his first book, Kentucky Three-Day Event, A 25-Year Retrospective in 2003 and was editor of the recently released book on the Show Jumping Hall of Fame and Museum, Honoring the history of show jumping and those who made it great.
